Tollywood actress Shweta Basu accepted prostitution

Hyderabad, Sept 3: Days after her arrest in connection with a prostitution racket, Tollywood actress Shweta Basu finally broke her silence. The actress revealed how she was entangled in this world of prostitution. The 23-year-old actress was one among those people who could not protect themselves to fall prey to the dark side of the glamorous world. Shweta was quoted as saying, "I have made wrong choices in my career and i was out of money. I had to support my family and some other good causes." "All the doors were closed and some people encouraged me to get into prostitution to earn money. I was helpless and with no option left to choose, i got involved in this act," she added. The young actress, who was arrested by Hyderabad police, also added, "I'm not the only one who faced this problem and there are several other heroines who have gone through this phase." Shweta along with the pimp Balu has been arrested. She was caught red handed in a star hotel at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Sunday, Aug 31. According to sources, all arrested people were very well-known businessmen from Mumbai and other metro cities of the country. Shweta was in the business knowingly. She earlier was caught in a compromising position during a sting operation. Shweta had won national award for her Bollywood movie Makdee. She had also acted in several Hindi movies and TV serials, such as -- Iqbal, Kahani Ghar Ghari Ki, Karishma Ka Karishma and many more.
